The Verilux® Sanitizing Sweeper utilizes UV-C light in the range of 258 to 262nm to kill dust mites eggs, viruses, bacteria and 99.9% of household germs while sweeping your floors. Please note: Intensity of UV light drops considerably with each millimeter that the light source is moved away from the surface being cleaned. Therefore, the further the distance, the less effective the light is at sterilizing. UV rays are emitted perpendicularly to the surface of a lamp, so the cleaning light should be held as near and flat to the desired cleaning area as possible.

It is terrific and only thing I had to assemble was to put the handle together. I plug in the wires to the battery and then attached the charger. I then used the sweeper to sweep my home worked as well as any sweeper should (love the no bags just empty the dirt cup.) I have low pile carpet and wood flooring. The home smelled fresh and clean after the use of the sweeper. The thing that impressed me the most is the light weight of the sweeper it feels like it weighs a pound!
